Name: Caprice Valentine
Age: 26
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Rank//Position//Job: Guard
Appearance: A thick bunch of auburn curls adorn the top of her head, hairline at her forehead forming a precise widow’s peak, and stops around two inches below her ear in length, always maintained a good distance above her shoulders.
Caprice’s forehead is high, her eyebrows neatly crested. Her eyes are just above average in size, thickly lashed, soft brown/gold color. The end of her nose is very loosely titled upward, but it’s hardly noticeable unless one looks at her head on. High cheek bones and a firm, but smooth jaw line also are included in her facial characteristics, defining her as having some sort of genetic Celtic background, despite her adoptive parents’ Italian influence.
Her entire skin tone is very fair, which can tan. Moving down, her bust is average sized, waist slim, with hips that are below average, and what most women consider “not a great ass”. She keeps thin from exercise, and a fairly fast metabolism.
A series of violent purple scars on the back of her left hand and a sort of almost brand-like scar that mars her shoulder originated from some confrontations that will be mentioned later on. She stands 62” tall.
Caprice usually has a relaxed posture on her patrols, which is quite the contrary to how ready she is inwardly.
Typically, Caprice likes to wear the uniforms of the ship, with her own addition of gloves. For her lounge time, on the rare occasion she gets any, she usually wears relaxed fit pants and tee shirts.
Personality: Caprice can be described very simply, primed and proud. She looks down on many, whether from lower rank or her own reason is unknown. She can seem like quite a bitch if one doesn’t know her.
She’s a very technical person, who is often openly curious. She likes learning more facets of combat, though she can often be found hanging around the navigators, occasionally asking questions in favor of keeping up the hard exterior.
One of her favorite hobbies in fact is prowling the halls to look for her “prey”. Its quite hypocritical how she keeps special eyes on any criminal staff, considering her unspoken history, the one she’s only barely managed to keep out of the views of her higher ups.
With the past she has, Caprice does have a soft spot for orphaned people of any race, and doesn't tolerate insults toward same-sex couples.
She doesn’t like displaying emotions much publicly, especially to strangers, defining it as “one of her better qualities.” She sees it as a weakness, and that is why it becomes quickly apparent that she pushes some people away. In this way, she comes off cold.
Beyond her almost-conceited, inquisitive, and duplicitous nature, she holds a fiery passion for any she forms romantic relationships with, most of the time. She does care deeply for friends as well, which as also one of her greatest faults. As a Guard, she has received a warning before for keeping eyes on friends rather then a diplomat, who was the highest priority.
Another simple fact about Caprice: she likes shiny things. From jewelry right on down to silverware and mirrors.
History: Caprice was raised by two loving parents, a father who taught histories, and a father who was a programmer for some technology that was to be used on space crafts. She loved both of these fathers even after explanation of her adoption had been uncovered. Around four her fathers noticed her distinct love for shiny things, right after she’d taken a metal pot, some glasses, and a couple rings and sat for hours just playing with and staring at them. At the age of eight she was diagnosed with diabetes.
School passed, and her love for learning grew. Eventually she graduated just above average, not at all knowing what to do with her life, but infatuated with the bit of information she’d heard mentioned, the concept of even farther space travel, which would span their knowledge to meet even more alien races.
With that, she enrolled, fully intending to become a part of that project even if it took years. It was obvious at first her mental capacity for many of the necessary tasks would be enough, but her attention span for some more remedial tasks wouldn’t. It was one afternoon she learned specifically of combat, and found herself to have a knack for it.
Things went awry here. After a few years of preparation, and separating herself from some mistakes she’d desperately kept hidden, and is still trying to hide, she was offered the chance to become part of the Wilde crew. Caprice happily accepted.
Now, Caprice continues as a Guard, though wondering if that may be a mistake, that she perhaps should’ve picked a different path.
